Frequently asked questions
Our Frequently Asked Questions page provides quick, clear answers to the most common questions about our products, services, wastewater treatment solutions, and processes.

What types of precast products does Gainey’s manufacture?
Gainey’s manufactures a wide range of precast structures, including sanitary and stormwater products (manholes, catch basins, lift stations), wastewater treatment solutions (WWTPs, grease traps, oil-water separators, sand traps), industrial precast products (vaults, trenches, pull boxes), and custom precast concrete structures designed for unique project needs.
Do you manufacture concrete pipe?
No. Gainey’s does not manufacture concrete pipe. However, we work closely with trusted precast partners and can include pipe from approved suppliers as part of a complete project quote if needed.
Do you supply residential wastewater treatment systems?
Gainey's supplies residential wastewater treatment systems, such as MoDAD units, exclusively to licensed installers and do not sell directly to homeowners. In addition, we manufacture and supply commercial extended aeration wastewater treatment plants for larger-scale applications.
Can Gainey's produce custom precast structures?
Yes. Gainey loves to take our customers' vision to completion. Challenge us!
Do you help with design coordination?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with engineers, contractors, and owners during the design phase to ensure constructability, cost efficiency, and compatibility with site conditions. Early involvement often helps reduce project risk, rework, and installation challenges.
What if I’m not sure exactly what structure I need yet?
No problem! Many customers come to us early in the planning process. The Gainey's team can review project requirements and help recommend suitable products, configurations, and options to support budgeting and design development.
What is the heaviest thing you can ship?
The heaviest precast item we have shipped is 125,000 lbs, but this was not the limit. We are often restricted by the width of a piece rather than the weight.
What is your width restrictions for shipping your precast concrete products?
Anything wider than 8’-6” is considered oversized, as that is the standard trailer width. Loads between 12’ and 16’ typically require one civilian pilot car, while loads over 16’ require state police escort, with an additional civilian escort if specified in the permit. There is no strict legal maximum width, as shipments up to 18’ have been completed with a single state police escort, though requirements vary by permit and state. For loads over 20’, regulations become state-specific, but in practice, nearly any width we produce can be shipped.
What is the furthest you can ship?
We ship nationwide across the United States. We’re cost-competitive in our core markets and can provide shipping quotes for any U.S. location, allowing you to decide if the added freight is worthwhile for the quality and reliability we deliver.
